Spring Break '11 - Exploratorium

We had a full day planned for San Francisco - our first stop was the Exploratorium. The Exploratorium is a science center. Unfortunately on our walk over, it rained so hard that the umbrellas didn't even do any good. We were soaking wet and sloshing around the Exploratorium for a while. We eventually warmed up and enjoyed ourselves. Can you tell the teenagers (or one of them) was happy?

The girls wanted to make sparks, but wanted Jamie to try it first.

And once he told them that it didn't hurt, they took turns too.

I love these next two shots - from a room of mirrors.

This next photo was totally different in my mind. Maybe if the teenager looked a little more like a mad scientist, it would have. Anyways...she's supposed to be holding a brain.

Somehow Hailee talked Makena into pedaling so that they could create enough electricity to turn on a light bulb.

Then four lightbulbs! I'd never seen Makena move so fast.

After playing, we had lunch in the cafe and then headed back towards Fisherman's Wharf to the Alcatraz tour.
