Show 'em your stuff

I thought this was a great, to the point, post from the Green is Sexy blog.

Feeling powerless in a messed up world? You’re not! You can influence change in lots of ways by choosing carefully how to spend your money. Sure, the economy sucks, but we all still have to buy things, right? Flex your spending power to change the world. The more you spend your money on products that are better for the environment or reward do-gooder companies with your business, you’ll be sending a loud and clear message about what matters to you. If enough of us stopped buying bleached paper towels, for example, you can bet your bottom dollar we’d see an influx of unbleached paper towels at every store that sells them.

Buying products from companies that respect the Earth, the people who make the products and give back to charitable organizations are easier to find than you may think! Need a place to start? Check out our current and past Products of the Month for some ideas.

You don’t need to eat (organic) spinach to grow big muscles – use your debit card and a little research to show ‘em who’s boss.
