Our tree in 2010

Because of all of the traveling that Jamie is doing this month, and the days that Makena will also be gone, we went up to the High School last Tuesday to pick out our tree. We'd much rather go cut down our "perfect tree" for the year, but the tree lots weren't open when we needed them to be.

We all actually agreed on the first one, which is very unusual for us, but still continued to look at everything they had.

And then went back and go the first tree.

Jamie took Makena to guitar lessons while the tree dried. The I put on the lights and got the ornaments ready.

Moxie always wants to play when we're doing something.

Makena doesn't like climbing the ladder, but I make her put on the tree star every year. (I think she secretly loves doing it.)

I think she likes taking pictures more though. Here are some of our ornaments that she took pictures of.

The house smells like Christmas now.
