Syd's Senior Pix

I was asked to take Sydney's Senior pictures, and quickly said yes!

Could I pull it off? Am I worthy of taking Senior pictures? Probably not, but I'll tell myself that I am. : )

And Sydney is very easy to photograph.

Here are just a few of my favorites...

With puppies Dallas & Woodson.

With brother Nico.
I could have probably taken 100 more pictures, but Sydney was tired of smiling. And, Nico needed a ride home from football practice.

Sydney has worked hard at Century High for the past three years, and will be able to graduate early. We're proud of you Sydney! You've grown into such a beautiful, young woman.

I hope you like your pictures.

In Momma's yard again

My mom was excited to show me some new garden gnomes that she found at a garage sale. She knew that I had taken pictures of her gnomes before and didn't want me to miss these ones.

I also took a few pictures of the gnomes she already had. They've been moved outside since I last shot them.

And a little bike planter that she has hidden in some flowers.

You can always find flowers in Momma's yard.

Happy 14th Pook!

Makena Jade is 14 years old today.

I know, it can't be!?!

But...it's true.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

You are growing into such a beautiful, young woman Makena. You were an unexpected gift that I am lucky to have been given the opportunity to love each day for the past 14.9 years. You are my reason for everything. I love you!

Happy 14th Birthday Pook.

Here are a couple of pictures that I thought I posted, but can't seem to find them on the blog now. A reason for me to smile this morning...

A visit to River Bend

Makena and I headed to River Bend Campground on Tuesday morning. We went to visit the Flaherty's, Nikki & TeaLee and Dawn & Logan who were camping there. It's about a 2 hour drive south for us - just outside of Sweet Home.

The girls were eager to show us the river, so we headed there first.

Jason helped the girls search for the perfect skipping rock.

You have to take wading seriously here...

Then we headed back to the campsite for some lunch.

Then, off to the park!

Where Dylona impressed us with her tball skills. : )

And Kallie showed us how to throw a ball with all your might.

Then, back to the campsite for some snacks and bike riding.

Oh Nikki, always the joke-ster.

Luckily, the traffic wasn't bad until we hit 217. That's when 10 mph was "speeding".

Jamie picked up dinner for us and met us at home.

Lots more reasons to smile today.

When the sun shines in Garibaldi

Makena, Hailee, Moxie and I headed to Garibaldi last Thursday afternoon. Jamie decided to ride his motorcycle and meet us there. We were excited to be spending 4 days visiting family.

When too many people stop by Mom & Rudy's, I sometimes head over to Gram's house.

But the family seemed to follow me over there this time...

But, that's okay, I love them. And usually don't mind spending time with them.

And, we got to celebrate Aunt Juli's birthday!

It was a beautiful day again on Friday, so I took the girls down to the beach for a while before doing a little antique shopping. (Which they love.) The boys went golfing.

Someone left the perfect beach football for us to play with. (And take home.)

The girls and I did a bit more shopping on Saturday, and then Mom's backyard began to fill up. A fish-fry had been planned and the neighborhood had been invited.

Jeff did all of the frying. And, I have to admit, I ate my fair share of deep-fried fish and shrimp. And, it was damn good! (My arteries are still crying though.)

And we celebrated Dayle's birthday!

And we took a ton of pictures because I wasn't the only one with a camera this time.

And then we celebrated Makena's birthday!

With a yummy strawberry shortcake and gifts.

There was a poker game that night too. Jamie came home with money this time!

My sister and Leah played Skip-bo while Makena, Hailee and I read.

On Sunday, the boys went golfing again while the rest of us shopped or hung around the house.

Love those sun filled, family fun days in Garibaldi!
