One of the shows we went to was Ka a Cirque Du Soleil show at the MGM. It was a great show! Most of the Cirque shows are, but if you get a chance to see this one, do. I also saw the comedian Bill Engvall. He was funny, but not as great as I was hoping for.
After a few days for schmoozing, eating, drinking, more eating and a couple of shows, it was just the two of us. (Well...and the other thousands of people in Vegas.) For Jamie's birthday, I decided that we needed to spend some time at the spa getting massages. He had a site visit in the morning and then we spent 3 wonderful hours getting pampered.
Then we did a little walking before dinner. The water show at the Bellagio was starting just as we walked by.
We had dinner at Voodoo - which is on the top couple of floors of the Rio Hotel. After dinner, we headed out to the deck for some pictures. We stayed at the Trump Hotel - it's the tall one on the left of the picture below. We loved it there! No casino = no smoking and + money.
After laughing at ourselves trying to take pictures, we finally asked someone to take one of us.
We had breakfast at the hotel the next morning and then layed out by the pool for a few hours. Because we weren't flying out until that evening, we had most of the day to do whatever we wanted. So...laying by the pool it was!
Jamie swam.
After that, we headed to Old Town to do a little more walking around.
We were greeted by 30+ degree weather when we arrived in Oregon. bbrrrrr!
P.S. Just before Jamie flew out, he asked me to rent him a car for the week. I, of course, chose the economy car. I didn't though get to choose the actual car or color. Apparently the girl that gave Jamie the keys to the car (an orange Chevy Sonic) didn't think he'd drive it around. He did...
